Tax, commercial, business criminal, employment and administrative law — at the service of the businesses of the Romagna region.

The firm assists companies, businesses and professionals in tax and commercial litigation, business crisis, business criminal law, employment relations and administrative litigation. Based in Forlì, it operates across Emilia-Romagna and neighbouring regions.

A sole practitioner. Every matter is handled directly by the principal, from the first consultation to the filing of pleadings.

The firm's method

The practice rests on two converging pillars: thirty years in the Carabinieri (1986-2015, discharged with the rank of Maresciallo Capo) — combining judicial-police investigative work and command duties — and a PhD in criminal procedure obtained at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna in 2015, devoted to the statute of defensive investigations under Articles 391-bis ff. of the Italian Code of Criminal Procedure, in a comparative perspective with the United States criminal-justice system.

This dual background — operational and academic — feeds a consistent method: rigorous documentary reconstruction of the facts before acting, technical analysis of the evidence, assessment of out-of-court alternatives, and well-reasoned pleadings. It is an approach that applies across tax, commercial, employment and administrative litigation, where the quality of evidentiary reconstruction is just as decisive as in criminal proceedings.

Investigative experience built on the judicial-police side; an academic path devoted to the statute of the defence. The same technique, today at the service of the defence.

Defensive investigations

The firm has developed a particular focus on defensive investigations under Articles 391-bis ff. of the Code of Criminal Procedure — a tool often underused which, in especially complex proceedings (tax, corporate and 231 offences), can prove decisive in the alternative reconstruction of the facts.

The principal's doctoral thesis, defended in 2015 at the University of Bologna (supervisor Prof. Giulio Illuminati; tutor Prof. Michele Caianiello), reconstructs the procedural regime of defensive investigation in comparison with the United States ABA Criminal Justice Standards — Defense Function.

How the engagement works

The first meeting is meant to frame the case. On that basis the firm draws up, pursuant to Article 13 of Law 247/2012, a written estimate of the professional activity. No engagement is undertaken without a formalised estimate.

The firm is enrolled in the legal-aid registers both in criminal matters (since 2018) and in civil matters (since 2020).
